Seeking Suggestions and Feedback on My PII Detection Model
I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to the Hugging Face community to share a project I've been working on: a model dedicated to the detection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Given the critical importance of privacy and data protection, I developed this model to help identify potential PII in datasets, with the aim of mitigating risks related to data privacy.
The model has been uploaded to my Hugging Face repository, and I would sincerely appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or insights you may have. Collaboration and community input are invaluable in refining and improving the capabilities of such tools, ensuring they serve their purpose effectively while maintaining ethical standards.
Whether it's about the model's performance, potential biases, usability, or any other aspect, I'm open to all forms of constructive criticism and suggestions. My goal is to foster an open dialogue that will not only help in enhancing this particular model but also contribute to the broader conversation around privacy and AI ethics.
If you're interested, please take a moment to review the model https://huggingface.co/ab-ai/pii_model. Any feedback, be it through direct messages or public discussion, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I'm looking forward to your valuable insights and engaging in meaningful discussions around this project.
hi @ab-ai , identifying the entities is good, but I think for PII detection, you will need the context as well. name by itself can't be classified as PII.
Thank You

Context is key in PII detection. While names alone may not always be considered PII, understanding their context is crucial for accurate identification. Thanks for highlighting this important aspect!
