Quenstion about MIT Licence

I have a question regarding License of the model.
MIT is given, so I should be able to use the model for Auto labeling/Teacher for my own projects even if they are with commercial application in mind.
Looking at the Florence 2 Paper, the original ImageNet-22k [18], Object 365 [70], Open
Images [40], Conceptual Captions [71], and LAION [68] were used for collection of the FLD-5B dataset.

Some OSS models (eg. from timm library) have less permissible licenses because eg. ImageNet was used in training.
I wonder why Microsoft can publish model weights resulting from research datasets under MIT. Can I assume that this is due to Microsoft having special agreements with the original dataset providers? I thought this question might be of interest for others as well, but tell me if I rather should I consult Microsoft legal about this and where a appropriate place would be to do so.
