Flux?

Boy oh boy is this post getting some bad mojo:

I'm sittin here, brand new 4090 purring softly near my feet. Days are getting short and I sure could use a space heater in my office...

What do you say, I fire it up? I haven't used Flux yet. Maybe we can get some collab going so it isn't quite so time consuming and hogs all my precious kWh? Or I could pull off a freelance job on my old PC to pay for all the electrons this would take on my new computer.

Who's in?

Congrats on your new 4090! RIP your electricity bill, lol. Give Flux a try with a couple of artists and with a few different subject matter prompts. Let me know what you think!

I've enjoyed Flux, but my results with Flux Dev and artists styles have been unsuccessful. It generates some kind of style, but it's unpredictable, doesn't look like that artist, and quickly degrades the longer the prompt gets. I haven't experimented with Flux Pro since I'm only interested in local weights models, but I've heard that it works better with styles but still not as good as SDXL.

Hm so maybe it isn't worth pursuing right now. I still think that making a database of modern artists and training might be a viable alternative. I want to see where flux goes first before I sink that much effort into it. If something else comes along and makes it obsolete as fast as SD3 was tanked, then it's time simply lost.
